2015-Recap/New Year Resolutions

So 2015 is almost over. In a few hours we'll be in 2016. I don't know about you but I personally felt this was a good year in terms of entertainment. Maybe not music but we got some stellar movies and TV shows. But you might think differently.
In terms of animations though I also thought that was this was a very good year.
The shows we already had put out some stellar episodes this year (Nightmare Hospital was probably my favorite TV animated episode this year)
As for the new shows Nickelodeon got Harvey Beaks which is great. Disney had another hit with Star Vs. The Forces of Evil. And Cartoon Network got We Bare Bears. A cute little show that's very enjoyable (Burrito is definitely in the top 5 for best animated episodes of the year.)
And on top of that Stephan Hillenberg returned to work on Spongebob. The show currently, after his return, is in an awkward stage. I like the new episodes but I feel the show is still lacking hard hitting comedy like the classic seasons had. (Though I found Tutor Sauce really funny) I like the new episodes after his return but only 2 or 3 where really stellar. I can tell though that the show is in the middle of a much needed reform. Seriously I wish I would've been able to talk about how much Spongebob went down hill much more than I already did. It got bad. Real bad. Hopefully I will be able to get to episodes like One Coarse Meal, A Pal For Gary, and the 2 special Atlantis Squarpantis and Truth or Square eventually. But I feel the show is getting a reform. It's getting back to the show we all know and love.
We got a few duds in the TV department. Like Pig Goat Banana Cricket and Pickle and Peanut. Which were dull and poorly made. Trying to pander to kids and you all know that I feel pandering to kids is pointless.
The worst episode that I saw that aired this year though was probably Stewie is Enciente from Family Guy.
Expect a review on it soon. Let's just say it's gross and unfunny and just straight up dumb. You know usual Family Guy shtick.
But then again Teen Titans Go also gave us Let's Get Serious and The Return of Slade this year. 2 episodes trying to prove their critics wrong. However it just makes them look even worse. They don't understand the criticism thrown out at them so obviously they can't respond properly. And the arguments they make against their critics are just downright stupid. It comes of as them just being whiny and looking like prestigious egotistical douche bags. The more I think about it the more it ticks me off so I think I'm giving the Animated Crap 2015 award to Return of Slade the worse of the two.
But seriously despite a few bad things this year was a good year for animation.
Animated movies gave us Inside Out which was an emotional, funny, and overall enjoyable flick. It was incredibly deep and had a good message to it. If you hadn't seen it yet do it. It's up there with the best Pixar films. We also got Home. A movie about an alien and a girl forming a bond as they go on a quest for the girls mother. I thought it was enjoyable. It was funny, had slot of heart, and the last act was intense. Yet it has a 46 percent on rotten tomatoes so I guess people disagreed. I feel it's a highly underrated movie. I also saw Minions which I thought would get annoying fast but they Didi a good job giving each character his own personality despite all speaking gibberish and it had some funny and good moments. I liked it. I didn't get to see any other Animated movie but I heard there were so e good ones. None that I heard of got poorly received. So I would say in terms of animated movies it was a good year.

Definitely the worst thing that came out in 2015 though is this stupid blog I found called.....ugh what was it. Oh yeah Animated Critic. Definitely the worst blog ever.
But seriously, this year I started the blog. Something I've been wanting to do awhile before I actually did it.
It feels like it only happened a few weeks ago. I've loved every second doing this blog and I'm glad I made it to the end of the year. Thank you to all the readers and people who support me. Friends, family, readers whatever. Thank you.
I feel very appreciative that I can do this. I love doing this and I have big plans for 2016.
The Webshow is coming as well as Anime Critic. And of course Spongebob reviewed where I review every Spongebob episode ever. But to end of the year I wanna talk about my new year's resolutions for this blog.

1-Do atleast 2 Animated Critic episodes a month. I did 4 in my first month and but now it's like only 1 a month and this is my main show on the blog so I wanna give it more love.
2-Do atleast 1 Anime Critic episode a month. Pretty self explanatory
3-Do more Quick Thoughts over shows that aren't Steven Universe. Currently only 1 episode of Quick Thoughts covers an episode that's not from Steven Universe so I wanna fix that. I'll still do Steven Universe I just wanna do other shows as well.
4-Watch more Animated Movies that come out in 2016.
5-Experiment with more shows. I do experiment with different shows and movies that I'm unsure of as they may make a good review. However I wanna start going out of my comfort zone when it comes to animation a bit me than I have before. Who knows what kind of things I could find and what kind of reviews I could make.
6-Work to improve the content I already supply. Make them more entertaining and enjoyable. For you guys.

That's it.
Again thank you all so much for reading this blog throughout the year. I appreciate it very much.
The first review of next year we'll be Tokyo Ghoul followed by a review of the Harvey Beaks episode The Finger.
2015 was a good year but now it's time to end it. So thanks for reading. See you in 2016. Peace.

A Cleveland Brown Christmas-Animated Critic Holiday Special

Show: The Cleveland Show
Episode Title: A Cleveland Brown Christmas
Air Date: December 13th 2009
Season 1
Episode 9

*Warning: Some of the content of in this blog post may be inappropriate for some audiences. Viewer discretion is advised*
*And yes I do know this is a very late Christmas special. I'm sorry.*

Merry Christmas everyone.
What about Hanukkah or Kwanzaa
OK Kevin, Happy Holidays everyone.
That's better
The Holidays are upon us. Whatever holiday you celebrate it's time to get into the spirit of the season. Personally I celebrate Christmas. I love Christmas. Love it love it love it. I just love the spirit of this holiday and getting to spend time with your loved ones.
Anyway I'm here to review a holiday Special for you. Specifically the first Cleveland Show special. Remember how much I hate Family Guy.
This show is a more tolerable spin-off to Family Guy. Yes I prefer the Cleveland Show to Family Guy. At least modern Family Guy anyway. Its still an awful show though. And this holiday special. My god. I remember watching it for the first time. I didn't think it was the best but it wasn't that bad. I re-watched it just recently and my god. It was bad. Real bad. It is probably the worst Christmas episode of any Seth McFarlane show.
But whatever. You wanna see why it's so bad. Well don't say I didn't warn you.
Let's dive right into A Cleveland Brown Christmas.

The episode starts out with Cleveland singing Here Comes Santa Claus.
We also get a slide show of sorts reminiscent of the openings used for Family Guy's Road To series.
Also Meg makes a cameo.
Glad to see that even outside of Family Guy Meg still can't catch a break. I never got to talk much about the abuse Meg receives in Family Guy but hopefully in the near future I will. She's kinda like the show's  Squidward in a way.
But either way it's a cool opening. Probably one of the only good things about this episide besides one or two good jokes.

The episode actually starts out at a Christmas Tree sale where Cleveland's neighbors are well.....selling Christmas trees. The wife says something along the lines of "Don't let your neighbors think you're a Muslim"
Wow only 5 seconds into the actual episode and I'm already ticked off. Congratulations.
You're probably gonna hear me say this slot but...THIS IS NOT FUNNY.
Anyway we then see Cleveland and his wife Donna. They found a tree and then start making bad sex jokes.
The tree has a big behind and a bushy front just how Cleveland likes it. I mean it ,that's how they describe the tree. It gets worse as Cleveland slaps the tree while singing Baby Got Back.
Sometimes I wish I was making this stuff up. Anyway Rallo appears to say he picks the trees. Apparently ever since his dad left Donna has let Rallo chose the trees.
Rallo chooses a very small tree.
Cleveland tries to smack it's behind but it does nothing for him. He then said he feels ridiculous smacking it cause of how tiny it is. Which I well admit is kinda funny. But what's not funny is when he compares the tree to a little boy, and then an Asian boy, and then a little asian boy.
Yay stereotypes. Boy, my favorite.
Rallo says Cleveland is nothing compared to his dad as his dad is working with the FBI.
In reality his dad is a freeloading bum. Donna later reveals that Rallo's dad started the lie and Donna just rolled with it.
She says she'll tell him when he's older.
I understand sometimes kids need to be lied to as the truth could ruin their perception of things but really it probably would be best to tell him soon as when he finds out you lied to him he's gonna get even more ticked off. We then get a dumb cutaway gag. Since it's a Family Guy spin-off cutaways are expected. I feel the same way about these as I do the ones in Family Guy. They are dumb and stupid. However thankfully there are considerably less in this show (I think this episode only has 2 or 3 where an episode of Family Guy has way way more) so they are not as obnoxious.
This particular one involves the dude from Entourage.
Which dude? I don't know. I've never seen Entourage. But I still don't think I would've found this very funny even if I did know who he was as its pretty much just Cleveland insulting his body and saying he's ugly. What a douche.
Any way we then cut to a party. It's Cleveland's boss's party.
Rallo asks if he's a gay. Cleveland says yes he is a gay. That's exactly how they said it. They called him A Gay. Like how they would describe a different creature, one who is not human. The boss shows up and if there's one thing I will praise it's that he's not a gay stereotype. He has moments of it withen the show but for the most part he's not a gay stereotype. I say this cause Seth McFarlane portrays all gay people the same way. Stereotypically. All his gay characters are stereotypes. ALL OF THEM. It gets really bad when you watch episodes like Family Gay from Family Guy (which I will cover eventually) I guess the only exception is this character and Herbert The Pervert. But the latter's a pedophile as well so........
Speaking of which the gay boss comes out with a wife and Cleveland says this is gonna be more interesting than the last homosexual's Christmas party he was at. Cut to Herbert the Pervert singing Silent Night to a bunch of little kids.
Don't know why Cleveland is there since he's an adult and all, but other than that this is very.....very creppy. Anyway the boss ask Cleveland to play Santa Claus as the dude who usually does it hung himself. He apparently raped a bunch of people but not just any people, he raped old ladies.
I.......uh.......hamana........I have no words.
Same here but unfortunately we're not even halfway through this episode. Heck we're not even halfway to the halfway mark.
And yes in case you're wondering that raping old ladies thing was played for laughs.
So Cleveland pretends to be Santa. He even gets to ride a reindeer.
This leads to a plot that's completely pointless. The daughter whatever the crap her name is (she's just a cliched teen character anyway so I don't care) sees the reindeer and ask the boss's 'wife' if it's real. She says yes. The daughter then makes a comment about how it's just prop to be brought out once a year during the Christmas party. Then we actually get a funny line from the boss's wife about how she wonders what that feels like. Of course she's being very sarcastic as she says it. He daughter decides to free the reindeer so she does. Well actually Cleveland Jr. does while the daughter records it.
The reindeer proceeds to then beat Jr. up.
It works as Jr. doesn't really show any signs of being in to much pain. He's in enough pain to make it still work as slapstick but not enough to make it just seem cruel and unfunny. So basically it doesn't go too far.
But yeah the reindeer is free. That scene was useless ,but the reindeer will return a few times. It's this episodes running gag. A lot of the jokes with him aren't really worth mentioning. There are a few though that are ,but none of them are really that funny.
Back to Cleveland being Santa. Rallo sits on Santa's lap and after asking for a slinky starts insulting Cleveland as obviously he doesn't know Cleveland is Santa. One thing I need to note is how much Cleveland does actually care for his family. There are some clear signs of this in this episode. Unlike say Peter Griffin.
You can tell he's very happy to have Rallo sit on his lap (out of context that sounds very wrong. You know what I'm saying though right. He's happy to be doing this for Rallo.)
Any way Cleveland gets understandably upset when Rallo starts insulting him. And gets very annoyed.(I have to admit the line Rallo has where he says Cleveland straight up sucks actually got a laugh outta me. The delivery of the line was just so good. Bravo to the voice actor) Cleveland ask for one of the waiters to give him a whole tray of drinks. Something that I could really use right about now. Unfortunately I'm underage so I can't use the powers of alcohol to help me out. Cleveland drinks so much he gets drunk and tells Rallo that his dad is not an FBI agent and that in reality his dads a bum.
Obviously Rallo is upset. Understandable as he really looked up to his dad and now he knows everything he knows about him is wrong. It's actually pretty relateable.
That's the thing about this special. The characters are good. They're actually likeable and have personality. But there are so many moments that just bog the entire thing down. Maybe its not as bad as I was making it out to be earlier. Was I being to hard? Overly negative?
I don't know were you. That's really for you decide. How truly mad are you at this episode.
I....I don't know. It does some things right but......am I just focusing on the negatives. Am I being fair.
This is a problem every reviewer faces. What's fair and what's not. Am I giving whatever I'm reviewing a fair shot. Really Evan that's for you to decide. Your biggest critic is you.
It's just I wanna be fair to everything. Give honest opinions. Are the bad jokes really bad enough to ruin this episode. The story it's trying to tell. The great characters it's created. How do I know if I'm being fair. How do I know I'm doing this whole critiquing thing right.
The only thing you're not reviewing fairly is yourself. You're doing fine. You will make mistakes along the way. Big ones. You can't get down about every little imperfection about you. Get over your mistakes and move on. Why do you review animation?
Because I love it.
It tells beautiful stories, funny stories, with likable characters and some truly touching moments. That's why I wanna give it the attention it deserves and review these things right.
You are doing great Evan. No need to be so hard on yourself. You're not even halfway through the episode yet. Keep watching and see if you're really being unfair.
OK, whatever you say.

We cut back to the house as Donna tries to calm Rallo. Cleveland admits he screwed up but he's drunk while doing it so he's really not making a good case for himself. We then see all the trouble the family went through to keep the lie going.
That includes fake post cards, and having the daughter call Rallo while imitating the father's voice.
Donna says the family loves Rallo very much and then just leaves. Leaving Rallo in his thoughts.
She doesn't stay to talk about the fact that everything he knows about his father is a lie. She doesn't help him recuperate. She just leaves. Like screw you Rallo I'm outta here.
We then cut to a church where apparently some kind of Christmas special pageant type thing is going one. Also we get a great brick joke as Fred Peterson (the old lady raper) is referenced again.
Though it does beg the question why are they having a memorial service for a person who raped a bunch of people.
Anyway we see some people perform the song Gloria.
It's definitely something alright.
And then Rallo comes up on stage with a letter to Santa that he's gonna read out loud. It pretty much says "Dear Santa, F*** You"
And then he walks away.
Someone then says "that's what happens when you let a Jew host a Christmas pageant" OK are we gonna make bad jokes about any other religion. Can we just get a law that says Seth McFarlane can never mention any religion ever again. Because in recent years every religion joke he makes just fails. Good thing there's not an entire episode made for the purpose of making fun of religious beliefs.
Uhhhhh......
What?
What about Not All Dogs Go...
La la la la la la la la I can't hear you la la la la la la la la
But we're typing. Like online, you know what screw it.
Any way after that Cleveland realizes that Rallo hates Christmas because of what he did. So Cleveland vows to make it up to him. He decides to take Rallo to the mall.
It didn't end well.
Rallo had the idea to tie a toy Santa to the toy train tracks and yeah.....you see the damage.
We then get a dumb gag with news men figurines that goes on way to long.
We then cut to the bar where Cleveland's friends hang out. Kinda like the one in Family Guy. You know maybe this show failed because of how many fricking similarities to Family Guy there are. Like seriously couldn't do anything even the tiniest but original when it comes to the concept of this show. Like lets think about this.
Donna=A more likeable Lois
Junior=A more child like Chris
Rallo=Stewie minus the cool gadgets.
They also reuse some plotlines from Family Guy occasionally.
Either way the talking bear (yes there's a talking bear) says Rallo's taking his frustrations out on Christmas and the only way to make him feel better is to find his dad. AI Cleveland decides to do just that.
Back at home we see Cleveland having what AI have to admit is a pretty nice sweet talk with his kid, while he creepily rubs his face.
He then starts insulting Jr.
Isn't a grown adult insulting his own son just so funny.
No......it's actually rather terrible.
So Cleveland leaves the house but Donna doesn't want him to go. So she does the most sensible thing and tazes him. What else would you do in this situation. He then farts while passed out. Charming.
When Cleveland wakes up 30 minutes later he says he has to do this. Donna says though that no one has been able to track down Rallo's father for months.
Cleveland is still determined on going though. Then....*sigh* we get a scene with bear sex. I.....I really wish I was making that up. But unfortunately I am not

MERRY FRICKING CHRISTMAS EVERYONE. WE ALL KNOW BEAR SEX IS WHAT YOU WANNA SEE IN YOUR HOLIDAY SPECIAL. YOURS TRULY FAMILY GUY....I MEAN UH...THE CLEVELAND SHOW.

I don't see how this is funny. It's....it's dumb.
It's also not an image I wanted to see. Two bears screwing and a fricking reindeer clopping off to them. And boy is that reindeer bad at peeping.
It's a really pointless moment as well. Why, why did we need to see this.
Are you beginning to feel you're being to hard on this episode now?
No, I'm not. In fact I feel like I'm going to easy on it.
Either way Cleveland begins looking around for Rallo's dad. He goes to the morgue first and starts playing around with the dead bodies.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Real funny guys (sarcasm)
I'm totally sure that that's how that person wanted his dead body to be treated when he died. At least it's not Drawn Together The Movie
Yes he is making out with a dead body.
Cleveland eventually finds a strip club and goes in. What do you know Rallo's dad is in there. Great let's get this episode over with.

Cleveland gives a heart felt speech about how the best present he can give to Rallo is being present (see what he did there.) but it really doesn't seem to win Rallo's dad over. He leaves the club then Cleveland calls one of the prostitutes a whore blah blah blah. Almost over.
The next day is Christmas. Rallo is still not in the festive spirit even though he got that slinky he wanted. How can you be mad when you have a slinky.
Slinkies are fricking awesome. If that doesn't cheer him up nothing will man. Nothing.
Cleveland attempts to cheer him up anyway by dressing up as Santa and bringing in the Christmas tree Rallo wanted at the beginning of the episode.
Rallo just burns it though.
Then Rallo's dad comes in dressed as Santa as well.
Rallo is confused but his dad later reveals himself. Saying that he learned that he should see his "sperms" on Christmas. That's exactly how he puts it.
Rallo ask why he lied about being an FBI agent and his dad says he wanted to hide the truth from Rallo.
Oh no not the truth about the fact he's a bum. No he lies to Rallo again telling him he's actually Santa Claus. Really? And everyone just goes with it.
So you know what this whole plot accomplished. Nothing. All it managed to do was have Rallo's dad come up with a new lie. Why didn't you just tell him the truth. I actually could've led to a heartwarming moment. But whatever. Rallo's just gonna get twice as ticked when he finds out you guys lied again. This plot accomplished nothing. It was pointless completely pointless. I wasted 22 minutes sitting through all this slog.
The episode finally ends with.........I......no I'm not even gonna say how this episode ends. It just so horrid........*sigh*.........fine you win. It ends with the real Santa making a racist comment (there's atleast one per episode.)
And then the reindeer from earlier comes by and.......ugh....can't believe I'm saying this. It comes by and rapes Santa Claus.
I really wish I didn't see that.
Why, why what was the point.
This was awful it was all awful. The plot led to absolutely no where. There were only 1 2 or 3 funny jokes in the entire thing.
The rest of the joke are god awful and make hate comedy with jokes about old lady rape and Santa rape and ugh......it's bad real bad. It has positives though.
The characters are likeable and it's actually kinda heart warming to see Cleveland go through all that trouble for Rallo's sake (a person that straight up hates him)
So yes those things bring the rating up. I also well admit it wasn't obnoxiously bad like Good Neighbors. I can definitely see why I considered this an OK episode at one point. However now I hate this episode. Not the worse but still not good. If a few more jokes were funny or of the episode wasn't just a pointless waste of time and actually had a plot that went somewhere maybe it would get a passing grade (a 5/10 or higher) but I'm gonna give it a
4/10
Best Part-The Boss's wife line about how she feels like a prop that's only pulled out once a year.
Worst Part-Either bear sex or reindeer rape.

Evan, see you did a good job being fair. You looked at both the positive and negative aspects before making up your mind about the score. If that's not fair I don't know what is.
Thanks Kevin. It's just I've been having a bit of what I guess you would call a creator breakdown. I've been worried about how well I'm actually doing. Giving entertaining, honest, fair reviews. I've been worried I'm not doing so good, but I wanna do good. I am very passionate about this blog.
But doing this review and having you help me out has really fixed my qualms. I'm not worried anymore. I can always improve for sure but I am no longer worried I'm doing a bad job.
As I said Evan you are your biggest critic. You will screw up do something your ashamed of someday but you gotta move on and improve from those experiences. You can't get down over every little flaw. And you're being so hard on yourself your making up flaws in your head that don't even really exist.
Ha I guess your right there is nothing to be worried about. I'm doing fine. I may have people out there who would disagree but as long as I'm doing good in my own eyes and as long as I have people reading this blog I'm not gonna get down or give up in fact I'm more pumped than ever to make more reviews.
Thanks Kevin. I may seem annoyed by you sometimes but you have honestly helped me.
Oh, uh, why thank you. I do wonder though Evan why are you so passionate about this blog. I know you love animation but is there a deeper reason.
It's because.....I'm not that good at much else. Analyzing things I love and hate is pretty much one of the few things I think I can do good. Heck there are times when I do doubt my skills in even doing that. My grades at school are mostly Ds and Cs with only the occasional B.
I suck at all athletics. Don't have secret talents like drawing, singing or dancing. Reviewing things is pretty much one of the things I feel like I can do right.
Discussion things I both love and despise.
It sounds dumb I know but it's how I feel.
Well....I wish I could help you there. But as long as you're happy where you are at now I'm fine.
Yes I'm very happy where I'm at now. Thank you.
Thank you for being with me. And being there for me.

Well this is probably gonna be the last blog post of 2015. Man what a year it was.

2016 Plan-SpongeBob, Anime and More

The year 2015 ends real soon. (And we still don't have hover boards. Hurry up scientist you still have time.) Any way I thought since I'm a miserable waste of human life and have nothing better to do I'll tell you all the exciting things I have planned for 2016.
Yeah. I'm sure it's real exciting.
You know Kevin, sometimes I feel you're against me.

I have 2 reviews planned for the rest of 2015. Tokyo Ghoul (which will hopefully be out sometime before 2016.) and A Cleveland Brown Christmas. (Which will either be posted on the 24th 25th or 26th.)
Either way I'm glad 2015 is coming to a close. It was an interesting year. We had some incredible things happen like Star Wars episode 7 or Inside Out.
Then we got some crap like Pig Goat Banana Cricket or that stupid Whip and Nae Nae Song. (Which I can never get out of my fricking head.) Then we got all that real world stuff which just depresses me but whatever. I was thinking about doing a top 5 best and worst animated movies of 2015 list to close off the year but then I realized I only saw 3 animated movies from this year.
Inside Out (which probably would've been at #1 best)
Home (which I also enjoyed)
Minions (It was good)
Next year I'll try and stay on top of things.

Anyway as for 2016 I have some interesting things planned. First though the Animated Critic. My main show. Of which there are only 7 episodes out now.
Remember when I first began and I got like 4 reviews done in a month.that was during summer so I had nothing better to do. Nothing else was really eating at my time. Then I had school, start as well as marching band, and an online algebra class (which I took to make up a math credit I failed to get without screwing up my schedule) do yeah those all ate my time. Luckily Math and Marching Band are done. I now have a lot more free time. I plan to use it on this blog. This blog is a project I have grown very passionate about, and my favorite thing to do is Animated Critic episodes. So I plan to do more of those. Along with all the other stuff. I wanna get at least 2 Animated Critic episodes out to you per month. Maybe more if I can. I already actually have the rest of season 1 planned and boy am I excited. You will see the Harvey Beaks review I promised as well as a review of
The Legend of The Titanic
Beauty and The Obese (Striperella)
Driven to Tears (Spongebob)
On The Run (Steven Universe)
And much much more.

Aside from that though in July of 2016 will be my 1 year anniversary. I will have some specials planned out. A few special top 5 list to act as a retrospective of the year.
Top 5 Favorite Title Cards (The first picture you see on each review)
Top 5 Best Things I've Reviewed
Top 5 Worst Things I've Reviewed
(The best and worst list include things I reviewed on Animated Critic, Toon-O-Ween, or Quick Thoughts. Or anything else I've reviewed in general on this blog)
Then to end it of My Top 5 or 10 personal Favorite Reviews
(Also includes any Animated Critic Episode, Quick Thoughts episode or Toon-O-Ween episode. Or any review in general)
So yeah that's happening.

As for anything else well....
Anime Critic, the spin-off of Animated Critic focusing on Anime, well be starting next year. I've had what I'm gonna review for the first episode planned out for awhile. Can't wait. I love anime and I can't wait to start sharing some of my favorites (and least favorites) with you guys.

I'm also planning something else. Something big. A review of EVERY SINGLE SPONGBOB EPISODE. Now a few things
1-Yes I know Pieguyrulz is already doing this. However I have some differing opinions than him plus I think it will be fun to re-watch some episodes I haven't seen in awhile or haven't seen at all. So if you have a problem with me doing this well......sorry.
I also thought it'd be interesting to re-watch the whole series and see why it began to suffer from seasonal rot. See why modern Spongebob is so different from classic Spongebob. And plus I thought it'd be cool to compare mine and Pieguyrulz's scores for each episode.
2-I won't be reviewing the episodes in order like Pieguyrulz. I'll just be covering which ever ones I happen to see and then do a quick little review on it. I'll be doing multiple episodes per blog post. So in one blog post I could be doing a season 1 episode and then a season 8 episode. I just review whatever I happen to see before my next blog post. The reviews will be short and set up like a Quick Thoughts review. Then I'll rank the episode Good, Meh or Bad. So if I happen to catch an episode on TV I'll think about how I feel about it and then put it into word for this blog and tell you if I find it Good Bad or just Meh. You never know what will be covered on an episode.
3-I'll also be doing the 2 theatrical films and the TV movies and specials.
4-I'm still gonna be covering Spongebob episodes on the Animated Critic. These are just shortend, paraphrased feelings I have towards whatever episode I'm dealing with.

With all that said each episode will have around 5-10 episodes of Spongebob reviewed in it.

Anything else I'm forgetting. I think not.
So thank you guys for watching I'll see ya all later. And have a Merry Christmas.
Peace.

Extra Thoughts-Stevenbomb 4 Episodes

Above is the list for the next few Steven Universe episodes which will be apart of Steven bomb 4. For those who don't know a Steven bomb is a full week of new Steven Universe episodes every night. This one will begin January 4th and end on January 8th. As I said this is the fourth one. The last one aired during the summer this year and gave us episodes like Keystone Motel and Onion Friend. The Steven bombs usually have an overarching story (or atleast some sort of overarching theme). The last one had Pearl and Garnet in a fight for example.
Any way we got some info about the episodes that will be airing during the fourth Steven bomb and I figured I'd discuss them. Cause why not. After all I do have an obsession with this show.

The first one is The Answer. Garnet tells Steven the story of how she became a Crystal Gem. This may be interesting. I really think the concept speaks for itself. It says everything we need to know. I feel like it'll be an interesting origin story of sorts. Maybe we'll see more Ruby and Sapphire and get to see how they met. And I know for sure We'll see more of Rose which well be nice. We may also see how Garnet met Pearl and Amethyst and see them begin to form a bond. I always love origin stories. They just give us so much backstory and add some depth to the character. So I got a good feeling about this one.

Steven's Birthday is next. Steven has a party at the barn and feels like he has some growing up to do. Sounds familiar doesn't it. Like I feel I've seen this before.
I think I may of reviewed that.
Oh yeah, So Many Birthdays.
Honestly this does just sound like a rehash of that episode. Not just because both center on birthfays, but because both are about Steven feeling he has to grow up. And in both episodes the catalyst for that is a birthday party.
Wonder why they would do this again. I know Steven is at a confusing age where your still a child but you still have to start growing up and being mature, and honestly that made him really relatable in So Many Birthdays. But do we really need 2 episodes focusing on that. The birthday thing is just an add on to the rip-off cake.
Who knows though it could still be enjoyable, it could still be better than So Many Birthdays. Let's wait and see. Also will we see old Steven again.

It Could've Been Great is next.
In this episode the gems go to the moon.
I could be just a fun little episode with the gems visiting the moon, but based on the title I get the feeling it will turn into a massive tear jerker. What will happen exactly to cause a tear jerker moment though I do not know. I don't even really have a guess but I'm curious to see where it goes. Also seeing Peridot on the moon.....I can only imagine what kind of funny scenarios we could get outta that.

Message Received. Steven has doubts about believing in everyone.
I have no idea what that description means. Maybe he starts thinking everything the gems told him was a lie. Maybe he finds out they did lie to him about something to hide him from some disgusting truth. And Steven starts thinking that they'be lied about other things as well and develops trust issues with the gems.
If so what was that truth they were trying to hide.
I feel this will be another tear jerker episode. And one that also develops the relationship between the gems and Steven.
I feel like this will be a great episode but all we can do is wait until January 7th

The final episode is Log Date 7 15 2.
Steven sneaks a listen at a friends audio diary. I don't know about you but I'm betting on that friend being Onion........

OK I'm joking it's obviously Peridot.
I feel like this episode could be a very fun episode, or maybe a very serious one. Don't see it having to many tear jerking moments though. I mean it could though.
I think this episode will follow Peridot during the time when she was running away from the gems. Before Catch and Release happened pretty much.
It will also probably develop Steven and Peridot's relationship. If you keep up with my Quick Thoughts you know I really wanna see more screen time with Steven and Peridot together (if your asking though no I do not ship them)

Well when this Steven bomb is over I'll do a Quick Thoughts over all of them at once. I feel like this will be good. I have a good feeling about all but 1 of these episodes. It could even be better than the last Steven bomb but we'll just have to wait and see.

Until then I'm gonna be working on what may be my most Controversial blog post yet.
Is Anime a Cartoon

Well we'll see how many people hate me after that blog post.

Other than that though
Next Animated Critic-The Finger (Harvey Beaks)

Speed Demon (Powerpuff Girls)-Toon-O-Ween 2015 Part 4

Let me just say right of the bat that this is the creepiest episode I've ever covered on this blog. It's also one of the creepiest children's cartoon episodes I've seen. I think for the most part though children should still be able to handle it. Most of them anyway.
Also this isn't technically a Halloween episode but it's still creppy as crap.
But that's what I love about the Powerpuff Girls. They are able to make creepy episodes like this work.
One day we'd get a very light hearted fun episode, the next we get something like Speed Demon. Today's episode.
Also probably the creepiest episode of the show by far.
It starts with the girls at school. Buttercup is very impatient as the family is going on a trip to the Bahamas. Once school is out the girls race home which somehow opens a worm hole. Don't ask how, I'm not really sure either but that's not important. The hole leads them home but things seem diffrent. The girls don't take much notice to it at first though as they are busy arguing about the race. The girls call in the professor to settle the argument but he's not coming. The girls look around for him and find him in his lab. It looks like he's gone insane and is desperately trying to remember the formula that created the girls in the first place. This gets under your skin to say the least. It's just so creepy. And the raises the question about what actually happened. It also raises tension.
The girls leave terrified. They then begin to look around the city of Townsville (face it you read the city of Townsville in the narrator's voice.) But either way the city is destroyed.

The tension raises.
I also gotta admit the atmosphere is also amazing.
I love it when shows can pull off an atmosphere like this.
They then see their teacher Ms. Keane.
She's literally gone insane standing in the same place repeat in the same thing over and over. But she does reveal that the girls have been slung 50 years into the future. And throughout those 50 years they were just gone. Which is why the town has gone to crap. Things only get more terrifying from there
as Him appears. The devil himself. He tells the girls that he took over the city after they left. It was
easy since they were gone. He says this in his very creepy voice. It's the voice of nightmares I swear.
He begins to convince the girls it was all their fault that Townsville ended up like this, the girls are in obvious denial. It gets worse as the people they all cared for come and also begin to blame them.
That's what makes Him so scary. He doesn't use machines, it weapons, or physical fighting to try and beat the girls. He uses psychological warfare. Making him a scary villain as you never know what he'll do next. The fact that he rarely used physical violence is seen when the girls start pounding on Him and he doesn't even attack back.
Him keeps repeating that this was all the girls fault, they're still in denial but Him's words start taking a bigger effect on them. The girls freak out and open up another worm hole the same way they did before. This time though it sends them back to their time. The girls rush over to the professor and tells him that they can't leave Townsville............even though they left Townsville a few episodes later in Town and Out, but whatever. This episode......whew, it sure was something. But it was a good something.
The atmosphere in this episode is very tense and it works very well. Aside from that the characters are very relatable as well. You really feel for the girls in this episode. Imagine being thrown in a situation where it was your fault that everyone you love is hurt.
It was also very creepy. But I loved it, it was very well done.

Overall-9/10

This is why I love the Powerpuff Girls. I just realized this is the first time I'm talking about an episode that's not currently on TV. Though there is that reboot that's coming.
If you wanna know I don't think it'll be as good as the original, but I still have high hopes it'll be good. Who knows, it could surpass the original.

Either way 4 parts down.
I need to get some updates out of the way now so hold tight.
First about Toon-O-Ween. I was originally gonna do Tokyo Ghoul for the 5th part and It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown as part 6. I'm cancelling the 6th part until probably next year as its already December and I still have to finish watching all the Tokyo Ghoul episodes. So Part 5 probably won't come out till late December and I don't wanna go into January with this. And I feel the review will work better around Halloween time anyway. So maybe next year. I also just really wanna review Tokyo Ghoul so that's another reason.

As for Christmas I was originally gonna do Invasion of the Secret Santas from Batman the Brave and the Bold, and the do It's a Cleveland Brown Christmas, but I think I'm just gonna stick with the Cleveland Show episode and do the Batman one later.

In fact the Cleveland Show episode will probably be the next post on this blog. After the Christmas episode I'll do the Tokyo Ghoul episode and the continue the Animated Critic with my review of The Finger from Harvey Beaks, I really need to do more Animated Critic episodes. Considering that is my main show. So yeah I'm gonna try and work harder on getting Animated Critic episodes out. Hope you understand they just take a lot more work than other things I do on this blog.

Either way I thank you for reading and I'll see you later.
Peace.
